Under supervision, the Human Resources (HR) Assistant works within the HR team to provide operational, analytical, and administrative support across Human Resources disciplines of Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc.
(SCE).
Essential Job
Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition/Retention Supports the life cycle of all employees to include:
Supports interviewing and onboarding.
Assist with coordination and execution of new hire orientation.
Registers, tracks, and attends career fairs.
As a member of the recruitment team, assists with tracking of all recruitment activity and HR onboarding processes.
Performs routine check ins with new hires and existing staff.
Benefits/Perks Provides day-to-day support and quality service to SCE staff about benefits, and regularly monitors / responds to general HR and benefits email inquiries or triages information to the appropriate person.
Assists in the preparation of benefits-related documents, reports, forms, and applications.
Supports coordination of SCE Perk Program and other various team building activities.
Technology/Communications/Payroll Updates and maintains HR communications on intranet using creative skills and various technologies.
Updates and maintains databases and tracking reports across HR disciplines and activities.
Complete timesheet/payroll review.
General HR Operations/Administrative Coordination Handles highly confidential material; maintains records and database and/or files; ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate authorization of all forms and materials.
Assists in the implementation of internal HR and office procedures, information systems, and training programs.
Supports SCE Vehicle Fleet coordination:
scheduling appointments, responding to questions, maintaining quarterly status updates.
Updates and maintains HR calendars and general email boxes.
Identifies and updates all time-sensitive forms, documents, and assists in federal/state poster compliance.
Gathers and maintains data; prepares and formats spreadsheets; performs minor research.
Supports special HR projects and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements (education, licensing, certifications, etc.
):
Possess a valid driver's license.
1-3 years of HR Experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and able to quickly learn and operate various software, apps, and programs.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8am to 5pm.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
Travel to career fairs and visits to other offices a few times a year required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
